In Awe of the Beauty

Joe and I met in 2005 through mutual friends in Milwaukee where we were attending college. Within the first few months, we knew we were the right fit for each other. Six years later, we took a vacation to Jackson Hole to scout for Joe’s company ski trip. We were in absolute awe of the area’s beauty and knew we wanted to visit again soon. After Joe proposed to me in December 2013, we started the wedding planning process. We wanted an intimate destination wedding and decided Jackson Hole was the perfect place!
With fifty guests coming from all over the United States, Joe and I chose to showcase the area’s spectacular landscape from a variety of venues. We wanted our guests to fall in love with the landscape, take time to explore its beauty, and have a memorable experience. We selected the gorgeous Teton backdrop from Jackson Lake Lodge to frame our ceremony. With fall colors at their peak, we took many photographs along the shores of Jackson Lake and in the surrounding area of Grand Teton National Park. To say the pictures are unreal is an understatement.
Our reception was held at the Teton Club in Teton Village. We took full advantage of the unseasonably warm temperatures (mid-sixties in the evening!) by enjoying a candlelit dinner on the patio overlooking the aerial tram at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
Looking back, we think our guests had the experience we wished for them to have—a way to remember Jackson Hole at its finest.
